The Olight Osight R rifle red dot sight brings a generous 28 × 22 mm viewing window, an enclosed emitter and three selectable red reticles to your rifle setup. Choose a 2 MOA dot for a clean aiming reference, a 65 MOA circle for a more prominent sight picture, or combine them for both references at once.
Built for close-to-mid-range rifle applications, the Osight R suits range training, competition and hunting setups that call for a non-magnifying optic. Its Micro T1/T2 footprint, included lower-third Picatinny mount and replaceable CR2032 battery make it straightforward to configure and maintain.
A wide window. Three reticles.
The multi-coated 1.10 × 0.87-inch window gives you room to find the reticle and keep track of the target as you move between sight pictures. The optic provides 1× magnification and unlimited eye relief, with a parallax-free design as specified by Osight.
- 2 MOA dot: a fine, uncluttered aiming reference.

Windage and elevation adjust in 0.5 MOA clicks, with ±50 MOA travel. Reticle and brightness memory retain your selected settings between uses.
Lens protection and included ARD
The enclosed emitter sits inside a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium housing with an IPX8 waterproof rating. Removable front and rear protective covers help shield the primary lenses from debris, scratches and impact.
The included anti-reflective device (ARD) replaces the front protective cover. Its honeycomb structure reduces glare and reflections while adding front-lens protection. This gives you a choice of cover configurations without buying an extra ARD.
Micro T1/T2 mounting
The Osight R uses the Micro T1/T2 footprint and comes with the ORS-153 lower 1/3 co-witness Picatinny mount. Its optical centre sits 1.535 inches above the rail. The optic’s four-screw mounting interface also supports compatible Micro T1/T2 mounts when a different configuration is required.

Match the rail, mounting height and clearance to your rifle and any iron sights. Micro T1/T2 is a different footprint from RMR, RMSc and DPP. Co-witness depends on the complete rifle and sight configuration.
For the included ORS-153 mount, Osight specifies medium-strength, non-permanent blue threadlocker on the M5 rail-clamp screw and a torque of 43 in-lb. Follow the supplied installation card for the other fasteners and verify zero after installation. The official Osight R user manual covers operation, adjustment and battery replacement.
Power and NV controls
A CR2032 3 V lithium battery is included. The side battery tray lets you replace the cell while leaving the optic mounted. Motion Activation Technology wakes the sight when it detects movement and switches it off after three minutes of inactivity; motion sensing is enabled by default and can be switched off.
Use the “+” and “−” controls for the nine daylight brightness settings. The dedicated NV button switches into and out of night vision mode and cycles its three brightness levels. These are low-brightness settings for use with separate night vision equipment; the optic itself does not provide night vision imaging.

These figures apply to the specified reticle at brightness level 5. Brightness, temperature, battery condition and use affect actual runtime. When battery voltage falls below 2.2 V, the reticle quickly flashes three times once per minute to indicate that the battery needs replacing.

Common buying questions
Does the Osight R need a separate mount?
The standard package includes the ORS-153 Picatinny mount. An additional compatible mount is only needed if your setup requires a different height or interface.
Is the Osight R rechargeable?
No. It uses a replaceable CR2032 battery. It does not use the magnetic charging cover found on some other Osight models.
Does the red dot magnify the target?
No. The Osight R is a 1× optic. Choose it for an unmagnified sight picture rather than a telescopic view.
How do I change the reticle?
With the sight on, press and hold the “−” button for more than two seconds to cycle through dot, circle-dot and circle modes. Refer to the supplied manual for the complete control sequence.
