Choosing the correct light

This page is for the exact i1R 2 Pro Flashlight configuration. Use the model name, listed specifications and included-accessory information together when comparing it with another Olight product.

Before checkout, compare the product name with the model already in use and inspect the saved photographs for connector, mounting and finish details. If any part of the model designation differs, confirm compatibility before treating the item as interchangeable. Keep the model label and order record for future replacement checks. This is especially useful when the original light, mount or charging accessory is later replaced. Retain any supplied instructions so another user can identify the same configuration correctly.

Using the light day to day

The Olight i1R 2 Pro Flashlight is designed around the output, controls, battery system and beam information listed above. Use the lower available mode for close work and longer runtime, and reserve higher output for situations that need more light. Actual runtime varies with mode, temperature, battery condition and repeated high-output use.

Learn the switch sequence before relying on the light. Keep the lens and charging contacts clean, avoid staring into the beam and do not aim high-output light at people, animals, vehicles or aircraft. Allow the light to cool if sustained use makes the head hot.

Choosing an Olight for South African use

Compare beam style, output steps, carry method, charging arrangement, water-resistance information and included accessories—not maximum lumens alone. For load-shedding preparation, travel, work or everyday carry, also consider how easily the correct battery or charging source can be kept ready.

Test the light before a trip or shift, recharge or replace its battery as required, and keep a separate backup light for safety-critical tasks. Water-resistance ratings do not remove the need to dry the product and inspect seals after wet or dusty use. Store it where accidental activation cannot overheat nearby material. Inspect switches, clips, lenses, seals and mounting points carefully before relying on the light again during regular field use or travel.
